MISS WORLD 2007 GRAND FINAL will be telecast live on Starworld tomorrow night and I cannot freaking wait to watch how Deborah will fare.

I have visited a few reliable pagaent websites and bookmarks, and I have actually summed up my Top15 for tomorrow. Jot it down and make comparison when it is announced tomorrow night!

TOP 15 SEMIFINALIST (see how my prediction went)
1. Angola (1st runner up)
2. Brazil (no entry)
3. China PR (Winner)
4. Dominican Rep (top16)
5. Ghana (top16)
6. Jamaica (top16)
7. Malaysia (top16)
8. Mexico (2nd runner up)
9. Peru (no entry)
10. Philippines (no entry)
11. Trinidad & Tobago (top5)
12.Puerto Rico (top16)
13. Scotland (no entry)
14. Venezuella (top16)
15. USA (top16)

Surprise entry was Sweden, Hong Kong China and Grenada.

And the TOP5 FINALIST (Either one will take the crown)
1. Jamaica
2. China PR
3. Malaysia
4. Dominican Rep
5. Mexico

Only two of 5 from my prediction made the top5. The reason being the best candidate from each continent make the final, in this case I had representative from only two continents for they were the most outstanding. Miss World Organization was contradicting in earlier statements in the early rounds when they promise that there were no more continental winners to decide top5 winners since it deprives certain good candidates of a top5 finish. Hence, Malaysia, Jamaica and Dominican Rep lost. Pity.

MY MALAYSIA OVER THE WEEKEND

I consider the weekend to be the most outrageous in the recent few weeks. First up in the morning I had a text message from a friend who asked me to switch my telly to Al Jazeera channel. I know I was watching the correct channel, and the screen was showing some street with many people making a riot. Wait, I know that street! It's Jalan Ampang!

I wouldn't want to write more on this. My 2 cents of thought, its just a disgrace. If people my people who only populate to 0.0005% of the total population here, and we are really greatful with what is around. So why make a big fuss over some personal gain, dragging so many of thier people on the street. Kalau pesta ok jugak, at least it coincides with the National 50years Independence. But not this kind of pesta please. Mak malu!

Move over, we ought want to just celebrate something else that would be more meaningful to Malaysians. Our number one women singles shuttler Wong Mew Choo, finally break the duck by gaining her first ever international championship title. Not one ordinary but the super series China Open. Mew Choo came through to the finally beating current world number one, Xiefeng and also Olympic champion Zhang Ning enroute to the champion glory.

Mew Choo was my classmate at Sri Garden ( the former Akademi Badminton Malaysia). I knew she would make it big one day because she was one determine girl, plus she had a good physique. Now we might not only need to depend on the men for Olympic gold. We have Mew Choo too!
And finally, our Miss Malaysia at Miss World is doing so fine there. This is her in the final round for the Miss World Top Model fast track event which was eventually won by host, China PR. Not bad for Deborah as she is currently the only four contestant who has made it for at least 3 out of 4 fast track finals. The other 3 are Mexico, Jamaica and China PR. The new Miss World would definetly be from these four girls.

BLACKOUT PARTY - NOT SO

The anticipation was so so high, despite the numerous occasion that I had the gut feeling there would be a raid at the party. Some said the announcement of the party was too soon and it was an ample time for the polices to make their preparation.

In the first case, I think there is no problem with having parties as long these clubs abide by the rules. I don't see why some people are so afraid of the raids especially when they are just the patron and not by far chance are doing anything wrong. We're plainly exercising our rights to club. Isn't it?

So a few friends back out of going, but my urges was still strong. Thanks to Kay for being patience enough to accompany, with a Singaporean friend who was there too with his boyfriend.

The first thing I saw when I went up the stairs was seeing the management guys holding up torch lights in thier hands. I thought these is going to be a hell of a party. Yeah right! Padahal, it was just one gimic shot to me. The dancing floor was already filled up by 12.45am and the crowd was surprisingly enjoying every bit. So mind the raid rumours bit. Let's have some fun.

I got this tiny lights where you wear them on your fingers like a ring, and laser lights would flash out. It cost me 3piece for RM5. Got 2 pairs for both of us, just for the fun of it. Apparently, not everyone was so cool with thier accesories. I only saw this one guy who had sunglasses with lights. Ape motif pulak pakai sunglasses in a blackout area?

I would be lying if I didn't actually went up the podium and flashed my lights, but what turn me down was the music. I thought DJ Ivan was the guru, just last night it proved me wrong. He played some sleezy tracks and which in the end I have to give up my space on the podium to some boy who was so desperate to go up on the podium.

The show was good as compared to the previous two weeks, I mean you can't blame them for being good since its their periuk nasi. The opening act though was great, performed by the SYTYCD finalist. Forgotten his name, but I used to do dance shows with him before. Met him outside right after the show as I intended to go back before being tortured by boredom. He said, "Eleh, biasa je tadi tuh!". I'm like, "Hmmmmm....you kan superstar!".

We left slightly around 215am. I was really bored so we strolled up to McDonalds Bukit Bintang when out of nowhere this two boys was actually cruising us. Wait, was it cruising us or just me?! It tooked about 15minutes for the chase and smile saga to run until everything was answered. Apparently the boy was meeting someone else who was clubbing at Blueboy. And he thought I was that guy as we kind of shared some simillarity. But I left laughing out loud when the guy who came was a little bit bapuk!

Today I went back to campus to collect my previous semester result. I was in the train, nervous, but yet at the same time thinking how jubilant I would be if I really hit the 3.5 pointer.

To cut the chase, one of the 6 subject I took scored a C and which actually pulled down my grade to 3.246 now. I was quite dejected when I saw the points, but at the same I was relief that I still a semester to write off my points up higher. I mean it is not the end of everything, perhaps it is true to the saying that whatever you reap, you sow. Or was it the other way round.

I'm just glad this thing will be over soon, and once classes are over is moving on to the corporate world. Although I still have the burning desire to continue my studies especially to penetrate into a special field like communication, but this would all depend how things turn out next year.

When I was a young boy, I always wanted to be a pilot. Because I can fly all over the world. But when my eye sight fared badly, thanks to television and book reading in the middle of the night the dream will always be one.

As I entered teenage hood, all this glamor lifestyle hit me. I wanted to be this and that, as long it has to do with glam. But when I began to realize there was more in life that I can do, it is not necessary that I needed the glam. What mattered most is to actually contribute yourself and everything within you and surrounding you happen.

I want to be an academician. Someone to lead the young generation. Teaching them about life, before they can smell and feel life for themselves. Like a sergeant preparing his armies for combat. I want to be that.

That is me.
